Savanny The Artist

My biggest art influences are Keith Haring and the lobbies of Taco Bell during the late ā€˜90s. I enjoy repurposing thrifted canvases and other surfaces to bring new life to old things. Much of my inspiration is comes from the educational toys I was exposed to as a child, such as colorful wooden shape tiles and plastic bears of varying sizes. During these developmental years I was taught to celebrate and appreciate the arts. As early as 4 years old my dad was exposing me to different forms of art, including taking me to the Rodin Exhibit at the North Carolina Museum Of Art. Throughout my time in public school most of my free time was spent in the art room or painting on my bedroom walls. Now as an adult when Iā€™m not in the office, I still enjoy having acrylic paint all over my hands.
